OVERVIEW: Each of the dairy farmers who produce raw milk for Naturally Iowa meets or exceeds the high expectations of the Iowa Department of Land Stewardship and Agriculture.

In order to earn the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship's Organic certification, farmers must also adhere to certain all-organic practices such as:

* Use of 100 % organic feed
* Complete absence of pesticide use (including feed)
* Restraint of animals solely to confinement lots prohibited

On October 21, 2002, the United States Department of Agriculture set forth national standards, ensuring high quality and continuity for all organic certification throughout the United States. Naturally Iowa has earned the USDA Organic seal. You know, therefore, that you and your family will benefit from the highest industry expectations and standards.

Naturally Iowa farmers pride themselves on maintaining farming practices that produce the highest quality, most healthful dairy products, which often even exceed those outlined above. Though national organic certification does not require this practice, all Naturally Iowa's organic certified dairy cows graze on pasture.
